Jessica Verakali holds a B.P.S. in Pharmaceutical Sciences and Pharm.D. from Long Island University, AMSCOP, and a MA-CURR with breadth in Neuroscience and Mental Health from Columbia University, TC. Her research “Mental Health Baseline and Awareness of American Desi Students” was presented, showcased, and awarded at Columbia University, TC. Her continued career focus leans on accessible education and personal development tools for all children and young adults in order to live healthier lives.
When it comes to art, Verakali was a sketch artist growing up. It wasn’t until she started art therapy where she learned to stop fearing colors and other tools. She started intertwining art into her daily life, starting with journaling. Verakali then made her debut at Westbury Arts in the “100 Years of The Great Gatsby” Exhibit at Old Westbury Gardens. Most recently Verakali developed a “House System” [set of four cohorts] full of young artists who express themselves through the guidance of Westbury Arts.
Verakali has dedicated her entire path and mission to God, her inner child, family, lifelong friends, guardian angels, Dr. Cathy Benedict, Mrs. Charu Vardhan, and all dreamers that have put their mental health on hold in order to succeed in their education and career."
