Westbury Arts Call for Artists: Reflections on our Digital World
Westbury Arts’ Featured Artists Series continues with “REFLECTIONS ON OUR DIGITAL WORLD.” This exhibit will question the digital inundation of our contemporary existence with an exhibition of contrasts. The included artists either embrace the use of the computer in their creation or use traditional artistic means to express a rejection of digital media.
We invite artists to join us as we spotlight artist Len Antinori with an exhibit of his latest digital compositions of classical genres, including figure studies, still-lives, portraits and landscapes. Each artwork deconstructs its subject into tiny geometric fragments of color and light inviting the viewer to get “lost in pixels.”
These compositions will be juxtaposed with the works of other artists who discard the digital in favor of time-honored media, such as pencil, paint, pastel and watercolor in two and three-dimensions.

Westbury Arts Call for Artists: Black, White and Grey or Monochrome Free Members Only Exhibition
Westbury Arts invites its members to participate in an exclusive exhibition exploring the theme of monochromatic art. Artists are encouraged to focus on the expressive potential of a single color or the interplay of black, white, and the subtle gradations between. Works may emphasize variations of one hue—incorporating tints (lightened with white), tones (muted with gray), and shades (darkened with black) to achieve depth, visual interest, and cohesion without relying on contrasting colors.
Submissions are welcome across all mediums, including painting, photography, digital art, sculpture, and more. The exhibition aims to evoke deep emotional responses, distinct moods, and/or a compelling narrative that can be achieved through the nuanced use of monochromatic palettes. Artists are invited to experiment with realism, surrealism, or abstraction, drawing on the timeless appeal and dramatic contrasts of monochrome artwork. This event provides a valuable platform for members to showcase their creative versatility in a supportive and engaging environment.

"HONORING OUR VOICES: SHARING HOPE"
This is an open call for artwork to be exhibited in “Honoring Our Voices: Sharing Hope” at Westbury Arts in November 2025 and through December 2025. The featured artist, Emily Barnett, will curate the exhibit, along with a committee from Westbury Arts. The exhibition seeks to explore our individual ways of honoring people and events that have moved us as individuals, or our nation, in a positive direction. The show is open to a wide interpretation across a range of personal, artistic, and societal experiences. In a world in which many of our stories are often ignored, quieted, or shut down, it is more important than ever to make our voices heard. Themes may include honoring the voice of someone in our family, a mentor, or someone in the public sphere who affected us in a positive way. Submissions may honor an idea, or a group, that speaks out on issues that concern us, such as social justice, gender equality, global warming, and economic equity.
