Westbury Arts Call for Artists Black, White and Grey or MonochromeFree Members Only Exhibition
Westbury Arts invites its members to participate in an exclusive exhibition exploring the theme of monochromatic art. Artists are encouraged to focus on the expressive potential of a single color or the interplay of black, white, and the subtle gradations between. Works may emphasize variations of one hue—incorporating tints (lightened with white), tones (muted with gray), and shades (darkened with black) to achieve depth, visual interest, and cohesion without relying on contrasting colors.
Submissions are welcome across all mediums, including painting, photography, digital art, sculpture, and more. The exhibition aims to evoke deep emotional responses, distinct moods, and/or a compelling narrative that can be achieved through the nuanced use of monochromatic palettes. Artists are invited to experiment with realism, surrealism, or abstraction, drawing on the timeless appeal and dramatic contrasts of monochrome artwork. This event provides a valuable platform for members to showcase their creative versatility in a supportive and engaging environment.
